PRN Location:
Sugarland, Rosenberg, Richmond, TX TheraCare is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN home health opportunity providing in-home physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients throughout Sugarland, TX and surrounding areas. This PRN home health OT position is ideal for clinicians looking for flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to provide one-on-one patient care in the home setting. Therapists enjoy creating their own schedules while helping patients improve mobility, strength, safety, and overall independence in the comfort of their homes. Job Responsibilities Perform home health occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations for adult and geriatric patients Develop and update individualized Plans of Care (POC) Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, post-surgical, or other medical conditions Address ADLs, IADLs, coordination, strength, balance, and functional mobility Apply manual therapy techniques and non-complex modalities, including heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and other physician-ordered treatments Implement interventions for fall prevention, home safety, and environmental modifications Train patients and caregivers in adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment (DME) Fabricate splints and recommend assistive devices as appropriate Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Supervise COTAs and home health aides, as applicable Follow all home health regulations, infection control, and safety standards This PRN home health occupational therapist job in Sugarland, TX is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible physical therapist jobs with in-home patient care.
