Part-Time Schedule:
Mon/Fri 8a-12p Tues-Thurs 8a-5p (schedule varies based on patient census) Make a Difference Every Day At Uvalde Memorial Hospital, we believe in restoring independence, improving quality of life, and helping our patients return to the activities that matter most. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehab team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. In This Role, You Will:
Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to improve functional independence and daily living skills. Provide hands-on therapy interventions, exercises, and activities tailored to each patient's needs. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, safety, and home exercise programs. Monitor progress, adjust care plans, and celebrate patient milestones along the way. Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with healthcare standards. Support and mentor therapy staff while contributing to a positive, team-focused environment.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Texas Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification. Strong clinical skills with a passion for helping patients regain independence. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience in occupational therapy is preferred, but a heart for patient care is essential.
