Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Empower students as a skilled Occupational Therapist, providing vital support in a rewarding school-based setting near the beautiful red rock landscapes of southern Utah. This contract position offers the chance to make a lasting impact, helping children and adolescents reach their full potential in learning, social interactions, and daily living skills. Your expertise enables you to collaborate with educators and families to design individualized intervention plans that foster students' independence and academic success. Engaging with a dynamic school community, you'll assess student needs, set measurable goals, and guide them through developmental milestones—all in a supportive environment where your contributions truly matter.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred Strong understanding of IEP process and legal requirements for special education Excellent communication and organization abilities Passion for advocacy and empowering diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address students' fine/gross motor, sensory, and adaptive skills Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to facilitate inclusive access to curriculum Deliver both direct and consultative OT services in classroom and pull-out settings Maintain timely and accurate documentation as required by school and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning Offer training and resources to staff and caregivers on classroom modifications and strategies This position is a unique opportunity to inspire progress and help shape brighter futures.
