Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time contract role supporting students as an Occupational Therapist for the duration of the school year. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with children and teens on the autism spectrum, helping them achieve greater independence and success in their educational programs. You will be a key part of a collaborative, student-centered environment, using your clinical expertise to make lasting positive impacts.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Prior experience working in school settings preferred Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder interventions Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to design and implement IEP-driven therapy plans Comfort using assessment tools and documenting progress electronicallyKey Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess students' occupational therapy needs related to educational goals Develop and implement individualized interventions tailored to each student's needs Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure effective service delivery Contribute to IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and goal setting Provide direct therapy sessions for students on the autism caseload Educate school staff on strategies to support students' motor, sensory, and daily living skills within the classroom Maintain accurate records and timely documentation This is a full school year assignment with steady full-time hours.
