Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Travel A full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available for the month of May in an elementary school setting, located in Prince George, VA. This travel assignment involves supporting an elementary caseload, providing essential occupational therapy services to students during the current school year. This role offers a 37.5-hour workweek, perfect for therapists looking to make a meaningful impact for a focused duration.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to elementary-aged students Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards Provide guidance to classroom staff regarding students' sensory, motor, and functional needs
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials Experience in school-based occupational therapy, particularly with elementary-aged children Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work within a multidisciplinary team Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and caseloads Knowledge of educational regulations and IEP processes preferred
