Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by supporting their growth and independence in an engaging educational environment. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work closely with students and school staff, using your skills as an Occupational Therapist to deliver tailored interventions and creative strategies. Collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to fostering student success in a dynamic school setting near Richmond, VA.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an OT Prior experience in schools preferred, including providing IEP-driven services and documentation Strong communication skills to interact with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to diverse student populations and needs Comfortable managing a varied caseload and providing both individual and group sessions
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and needs related to occupational performance in academic settings Develop and implement therapy plans in alignment with individualized education programs (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and related service providers for holistic student support Deliver direct and consultative services in accordance with IEP goals Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and required documentation for compliance Educate and involve families in supporting student goals at home and school Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting Experience the rewarding impact of enabling students to achieve greater independence and success in school settings.
