Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving students in an elementary school environment. This position, starting August 3, 2026 and concluding May 28, 2027, offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the academic and personal development of young learners. You'll primarily work with a diverse caseload, most likely spanning pre-K through 5th grade, including both general education and special education students, as well as those in self-contained settings such as autism/adaptive programs.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
Active OT licensure eligible for work in Virginia Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and support staff Comfortable adapting strategies for students with varying needs, including those with autism or complex learning profiles Dedication to fostering student independence and access to learning
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the school setting Conduct assessments to support student success and participation in educational activities Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams for holistic student support Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Provide direct therapy and consultative services to a mixed caseload of elementary-aged students Support classroom adaptations and modifications as appropriate
Position Details:
