Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting on a contract assignment running from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. This full-time role is set near Salem, VA, with workdays Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. Caseload specifics are still being refined, but will likely include a combination of general education and special education students across Pre-K through 5th grade. Students may be in self-contained classrooms, including those with autism or adaptive needs, offering you the chance to make a real difference across a diverse range of abilities.
Key Qualifications:
  • State licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric OT preferred
  • Comfort providing support for both general ed and special education populations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Flexibility and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Ability to tailor interventions for individuals and small groups

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
  • Deliver direct therapy services and consult with educational staff
