Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic, supportive school-based environment as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students. With a consistent 37.5-hour weekly schedule, you'll have the opportunity to implement effective therapy strategies and help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current and valid OT license (or eligibility for licensure) in Virginia Previous experience working within a school setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and familiarity with K-12 student needs Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to organize and effectively manage a full caseload across multiple grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students Deliver direct occupational therapy services as prescribed in student IEPs, adapting approaches for a diverse population Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student participation and success Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Provide support and training to educational staff regarding occupational therapy strategies in the classroom Adapt and modify activities to facilitate access and engagement in school routines You'll be part of a community focused on helping children grow, learn, and succeed.
