Job Description

The Village School of North Bennington is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work with a small number of students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade for approximately 4 hours per week. We will make every effort to be as accommodating as possible of your availability when scheduling student services.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing direct OT services for students Conducting OT evaluations which assess the motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor functioning of students upon request, in order to determine the need for OT services Writing OT evaluation reports, upon completion of evaluation or upon request Attending IEP meetings, either in-person or virtually, whenever possible Collaborating and coordinating with members of our Special Education team, Educational Support Teams (ESTs), Classroom Teachers, medical providers, and families regarding student services Maintaining accurate records of OT sessions, services, and evaluations Providing activities and suggesting classroom accommodations that are aimed at helping students to access and develop the skills they will need to be successful in both their academic and personal lives, especially in regards to fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social skills, pencil grip positioning, and sensory-motor activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required, Masters degree preferred Must hold a current Vermont license as a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

From $50.00 per hour
