Join a collaborative team in Rutland, VT as a contract Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This full-time weekday role runs Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
Compensation is:
Travel:
$1,995/35-hours;
Local:
$1,967/35-hours. What you'll bring An active, valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Vermont. Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included). What you'll do Assess patients' physical and cognitive strengths and the environments they live in to identify barriers and set meaningful goals. Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and the care team. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help people regain or improve daily living skills and independence. Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Teach and practice everyday tasks with patients to increase function and confidence. Educate patients and families on strategies to manage conditions and promote independence. Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed. Communicate and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive, person-centered care. Maintain accurate and timely records, including evaluations and progress notes. Support patients' transitions back to home, community, and work settings. Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and engage in ongoing professional development. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
