Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can make a lasting impact on students' lives. This full-time contract position runs from August through the end of January, providing valuable support during an important part of the academic year. You'll work as a vital part of a collaborative educational environment, helping students achieve their optimal level of independence and success in the classroom. Your background in school-based occupational therapy will allow you to design and implement effective interventions while working closely with educators and families. Adapt your creativity and problem-solving skills to address a range of student needs, fostering positive growth and participation.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT). Experience in a K-12 or school-based setting strongly preferred. Ability to perform evaluations, write IEP goals, and manage documentation efficiently. Skilled in providing both direct therapy and consultative services. Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families. Collaborative approach with flexibility and adaptability.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough student evaluations to identify needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions. Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff. Attend and participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning. Maintain accurate data and timely documentation of services. Support students through adaptive equipment, classroom strategies, and skill development.
