Full Time Position:
$2,000 Hiring and Retention (T&Cs Apply) The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides rehabilitative care to residents, focusing on improving, maintaining, or restoring the skills necessary for daily living, independence, and quality of life. This role works closely with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized therapy interventions.
Reporting:
This position reports directly to the Director of Rehabilitation and collaborates with the rehabilitation team and interdisciplinary staff. Key Responsibilities Evaluate residents' functional abilities, needs, and goals to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic activities to improve self-care, mobility, and independence. Educate residents and families on adaptive strategies, safety techniques, and assistive devices. Document therapy services and progress accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive care planning. Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all residents. Demonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactions. Education and License Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure. Experience Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred, but new graduates and newly licensed therapists are welcome to apply. Qualifications and Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow care plans and directions from supervising staff. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
