Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the educational experience of middle and high school students by providing vital occupational therapy services at a single-site school setting close to Blaine, WA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work 30 hours per week with a manageable caseload of no more than 20 students. Many of these students benefit from specially designed instruction focused on self-regulation and fine motor skill development, allowing you to make a significant impact where it's needed most. You'll collaborate with another part-time OT who visits the site multiple days a week and is enthusiastic about teamwork and sharing expertise. The position allows you to focus on delivering high-quality support while experiencing the fulfillment of working with a Native American student population.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington (or eligibility for licensure) Previous experience in a school-based environment, preferably with middle and high school students Strong skills in developing and implementing interventions for fine motor and self-regulation needs Collaborative mindset and flexibility to work alongside other therapy professionals Cultural sensitivity and a desire to support diverse backgrounds and learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' OT needs in accordance with IEP goals Develop and deliver therapy plans focusing on self-regulation and fine motor skills Document progress and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the other on-site OT Engage with families as needed to support carryover strategies at home and school This is an excellent chance to work in a supportive setting with a consistent schedule and a focused caseload.
