We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a supportive team in Federal Way, WA. This is a contract/travel opportunity starting ASAP for approximately 42 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Pay is competitive:
Travel rate $2,280 per 40 hours, Local rate $2,248 per 40 hours. What you'll be doing: Assess patients' physical and cognitive abilities and evaluate their environments to identify limitations and set meaningful goals. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the broader care team. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain or improve daily living skills and independence. Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Teach and practice activities of daily living (ADLs) to build functional independence. Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to promote autonomy. Monitor and document patient progress continuously, adjusting plans as needed. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. Maintain accurate records, including evaluations, treatment notes, and progress documentation. Support patients in transitioning back to their communities and workplaces. Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Must-haves:
Valid, active Occupational Therapy state license. Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).
