Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role providing vital Occupational Therapy services to middle and high school students in a supportive educational setting. You'll devote 30 hours per week at a single site, managing a manageable caseload of no more than 20 students. Your expertise will help shape the academic journey of a diverse group that includes a significant Native American population, with most students requiring support in self-regulation and fine-motor skills under specially designed instruction guidelines. Collaboration is key here—you'll work closely with another part-time Occupational Therapist, who is onsite full days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and highly invested in team-based solutions. This collegial atmosphere fosters both professional growth and creative problem-solving, letting you make a real impact while also having a go-to peer for brainstorming and support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with middle and/or high school populations, is highly desirable Strong background in supporting students with fine-motor and self-regulation needs Experience or interest in working with Native American youth is a plus Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized goals for students on your caseload Implement therapy interventions focusing on fine-motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation strategies Collaborate with educational staff and family members to support each student's progress Participate in IEP meetings and provide documentation in accordance with school guidelines Share knowledge and partner on strategies with the other onsite OT If you're ready to make a meaningful difference in students' lives within a collaborative, culturally rich environment, apply now to learn more!
