Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' growth in a welcoming educational environment. This contract opportunity is available for a Washington State Certified Occupational Therapist eager to make an impact throughout the 2026-2027 school year. In this full-time, onsite position, you'll serve students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to help learners with various physical and developmental disabilities. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding children toward greater independence, success, and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license, certified in Washington State Experience working in school settings strongly preferred Comfort addressing diverse disabilities, ranging from mild to severe Strong organizational, time management, and advocacy skills Ability to adapt therapy techniques across age groups and developmental stages
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs Deliver engaging, evidence-based OT interventions to support fine motor skills, self-regulation, and functional independence Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student outcomes Monitor progress, document services, and adjust goals as needed throughout the year Consult on assistive technology and classroom accommodations to foster productive learning environments Communicate regularly with families and educational staff You'll be joining a supportive group that values collaborative care while embracing innovative solutions. The role is based in a vibrant community, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, seven hours per day, offering a consistent routine throughout the school year.
