Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students' growth and independence as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a contract-based opportunity serving extended school year (ESY) needs. Your expertise enables learners to thrive in an educational setting, helping them access their curriculum and participate more fully in school activities.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Prior experience working in school-based settings preferred Comfortable collaborating with educators and families to deliver effective interventions Adept at conducting assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans Excellent communication and documentation abilities Passion for helping young learners realize their potential
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with varying needs during the ESY program Evaluate students' fine motor, sensory, adaptive, and self-help skills to determine therapy goals Collaboratively develop and implement individualized therapy interventions aligned with IEPs Monitor and document student progress toward identified outcomes Communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families to promote continuity of care Adapt to the unique dynamics and schedule of summer programming This contract position offers the opportunity to maintain your clinical skills in a school-based environment while enjoying the satisfaction of making a difference for students during their summer session.
