Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity making an impact in schools near Milton, WA! This full-time contract position spans the 2026-2027 school year, providing dedicated occupational therapy support across a district as one of just two OTs. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 30 students and collaborate with educational staff to implement Tier 1 supports, ensuring students and teachers benefit from your expertise and care.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current Washington Occupational Therapist license or eligibility and willingness to obtain Proven experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred Strong collaboration skills for working with staff to deliver Tier 1 interventions Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered assessment and therapy Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize a diverse caseload Professional references required as part of the application process
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students on your caseload, tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom-wide interventions and Tier 1 strategies Conduct assessments and develop clear, effective goals and plans for each student Document all services accurately and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines Communicate progress and strategies with families and multidisciplinary teams Support a positive, inclusive learning environment across the district As a valued school OT, you'll contribute vital expertise and teamwork, directly influencing student achievement and well-being. The district fosters a collaborative atmosphere where your knowledge and innovation are highly respected.
