Occupational Therapist School Setting

  • $55 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Master's degree Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver impactful therapy and support to students of all ages by providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, working closely with a diverse K-12 student body. You'll collaborate with educational staff and families, designing and implementing individual plans to help each child achieve their best.
Key Skills and Experience:
Valid licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist in the state Background in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic interventions for K-12 age groups Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services across a K-12 caseload Provide thorough assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service staff on student progress Document sessions, maintain timely records, and contribute to IEP development Adapt techniques and modified environments to maximize student participation in school activities Attend required meetings, trainings, and handle typical documentation required in schools This is a four-day-a-week opportunity, providing a healthy work-life balance and the stability of a consistent schedule. Compensation for this role ranges from $45
