Key Skills & Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Proven experience in school settings, including direct student interventions and teacher collaboration Background in home health and healthcare environments, with the ability to adapt strategies for unique needs Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices for virtual OT delivery Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Commitment to building supportive relationships with students, families, and staff Comfortable conducting assessments, developing IEP goals, and documenting progress
Role Responsibilities:
Design and implement customized OT programs for K-12 students in accordance with IEP objectives Work closely with school teams to identify student needs and provide consultative problem-solving Deliver therapy in-person and/or virtually via telehealth technology, as appropriate Provide ongoing monitoring and regular progress updates to educators and families Adapt intervention methods to align with both school-wide and individual student goals Maintain detailed records and comply with all relevant federal, state, and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and resource planning discussions as a valued team contributor Whether your expertise lies in in-person or teletherapy practice, your skills will have a meaningful impact in this flexible school-based environment.
