Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging and supportive educational environment as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, working full-time with students throughout the school year. This contract position offers you the opportunity to contribute your expertise in both direct and indirect therapeutic services, with a set weekly schedule of 40 hours, Monday through Friday. The assignment runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Your commitment is valued—no additional district responsibilities outside your contracted hours are required, letting you focus exclusively on delivering impactful interventions and helping students thrive. Travel therapists are eligible for stipends, making this an excellent role for those seeking professional growth and adventure.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy interventions Ability to conduct both direct treatments and indirect support/documentation Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Enthusiasm for making a difference in student development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy support services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals Document therapy sessions and progress reports per school district guidelines Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes Support students' access to curriculum and participation in daily school activities
