Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in a dynamic educational environment near Peoria, AZ! This full-time contract position offers a stable schedule—40 hours per week, Monday through Friday—beginning August 6, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027. In this role, you'll be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping children achieve their full potential. Take comfort knowing you'll have guaranteed weekly hours, with compensation for both direct and indirect services. Focus exclusively on student needs during your scheduled hours, with no extra district duties such as bus or parent pick-up responsibilities. Travel therapists are eligible for stipends to make your experience even more rewarding.
Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active certification as a COTA Valid (or eligibility for) state licensure Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Collaborative attitude for working with therapists, educators, and families
Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist Deliver individual and group therapy services Document student progress and maintain accurate records Consult with teachers, staff, and parents, supporting functional outcomes Contribute to IEP processes as needed Assist in creating and maintaining a positive, nurturing environment for students
