Ensures the transfer of those coping skills into the home, school, and community. These interventions are developed within the Child and Family Team process and are aimed at reducing negative and unsafe behaviors while in the Bourne, Inc. STRTP program in order to transition youth back to the community. Provide direct rehabilitation mental health services to the residents of Bourne, Inc. STRTP including individual and group rehabilitative services, collateral services, crisis intervention, community activities, and/or services at other locations away from the program (i.e. school). Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and regularly meets with the Residential Therapist to determine the treatment and needs of each resident for case management services; coordinates rehabilitation services to ensure the needed services are provided. Acts as the designated Intensive Care Coordinator (ICC) and facilitates all Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and ensures that necessary documentation is completed and input into the client electronic health record (EHR) system. Coordinates services and provides case management and linkage to community resources and services as determined by the case plan. Make necessary contacts with team members (i.e., attorney, CSW, PO, family members, agency volunteers, CASA Worker, auxiliary treatment programs, school personnel, etc.) and document all contacts in the client case activity notes. Make regular and timely contact with treatment team members regarding Significant Incidents and complete appropriate documentation. Provides appropriate crisis intervention services to clients in the STRTP and in the community including debriefing with clients following runaway events and restraints. Provides individual supervision and behavioral intervention for high-risk clients who require temporary crisis intervention within the program for safety or other reasons. Responsible for meeting DMH treatment and documentation contract compliance standards and expectations Adhere to the 72-hour turnaround requirement for client progress notes and 24-hr turnaround for crisis notes Perform other duties as requested. Completion of a bachelor's degree, in the behavioral sciences preferred, and 4+ years of experience working within this field Knowledge of Department of Mental Health (DMH) documentation highly desired Effective communication skills both oral and written; bi-lingual skills in Spanish/English are preferred Computer skills sufficient to meet demands of the job including the use of the agency EHRS (Exym) for program documentation Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment, work varied hours including evenings, nights, and weekends, and effectively as part of a team Must have a valid California Driver License and proof of automobile insurance A thorough understanding of the clinical needs of traumatized children and their families Familiar with the dynamics of co-occurring disorders Experience providing mental health services to the CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) and the LGBTQIA+ populations highly desired Sensitivity to the different cultures represented among the clients, families, and staff Basic understanding of age-appropriate behavior for children/adolescents Ability to model positive behaviors, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team Pre-employment criminal and background clearance Possession of a valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
