Program Aide

Golden Years Adult Day Care Center is looking for a Program Aide , which will assist the Physical/Occupational therapist. To treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They help these patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.

Duties :

• Aides help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
• Help patients do therapeutic activities, such as stretches and other exercises
• Record patients' progress, report to occupational therapists, and do other administrative tasks.
• Prepare treatment areas, such as setting up therapy equipment (hot packs, paraffin treatment) and cleaning treatment areas and equipment (treadmills, stationary bikes, hand pulleys, and massage chairs).
• Aides monitor activities to make sure patients are doing them correctly.
• Prepare materials and assemble equipment used during treatment.

They may assist patients with moving to and from treatment areas. After a therapy session, aides clean the treatment area and any communal equipment.

Requirements :

Vaccination/Booster Mandatory CPR certification
