Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school-based setting near Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position offers an excellent way to make an impact, covering a maternity leave from the beginning of the academic year, with the possibility of extension through winter break. You'll provide vital therapy services Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, and compensation ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, depending on your experience. Your role will center on helping students achieve and maintain functional and academic success, collaborating with a dynamic team of educators and professionals as you navigate diverse needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid COTA license for California Previous experience supporting pediatric populations in a school or healthcare environment Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and documentation Ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other therapists Strong organizational and communication skills Adaptable, positive, and professional demeanor
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEP goals Gather and document accurate data for student progress reports Collaborate closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist, educators, and families Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive, inclusive learning environment Provide input on student activities and accommodations to optimize classroom participation
