Qualifications Education and Experience:
Rehabilitation Specialist I:
  • Completion of college courses in behavioral or social service area; coursework in addiction, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Previous work experience in providing case management services is highly desirable.
  • Additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted.
Rehabilitation Specialist II:
  • Hold an Associates Degree with two years of experience in a related field
  • or • Hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in an approved, related field of study•or • Has completed at least six years of experience providing mental health services in a School linked/based organization, Non-Profit, Community mental health, or Clinic/Health Center setting•or • Has completed as least six years of experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist I with the Lake County Office of Education.
  • Previous work experience in providing case management services is highly desirable.
