Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract assignment in the Rancho Cucamonga area. This role will provide essential coverage for an upcoming maternity leave, aligning with the school calendar from August 3, 2026, through November 20, 2026—with the possibility of extension through winter break. The position offers a steady weekday schedule, working from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. This role is ideally suited for professionals passionate about pediatric and school-based therapy. You'll work closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff, helping students reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California Previous experience in healthcare or school-based COTA roles Familiarity with pediatric populations and educational settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Ability to manage time effectively and maintain accurate documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of an OT, focused on supporting students' success in school activities Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and documenting student progress Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive care and foster student independence Adapt activities and materials to students' needs, promoting participation and inclusion Maintain meticulous records in accordance with school and professional standards Compensation for this role reflects your expertise, with hourly rates between $35 and $45 depending on experience.
