HSH is located in Riverside, CA. HSH is referred by Riverside County DPSS and San Bernardino County
DCFS. HSH
is currently seeking a detail oriented, Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist to work closely with our youth, Direct Care Staff, and team members. Experience in working with Juvenile Delinquents is strongly required.
The Position:
The role of the MHRS is to provide therapeutic support to the children and families receiving services. MHRS staff play a vital role within the team including coordinating treatment and delivery of mental health services to the children and their families.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment or vocational adjustment. Up to 2 years of graduate professional education may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year to year basis Up to 2 years of post associate arts clinical experience may be substituted for the required educational experience in additional to the requirement of four years' experience in a mental health setting (source: Title 9, Division 1, Section 630). Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly desired. Google suites; Microsoft Office; general keyboarding skills Ability to learn and use Electronic Management of Records (ELMR) for billing Excellent writing skills. Ability to write progress notes.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Head of Service/clinical supervisor and deliver mental health services within their scope of practice. Direct Care Staff duties Provide crisis intervention services as needed Provide life skills training for individual clients Create and facilitate group mental health activities based upon assessments of group mental health needs Monitor at-risk behaviors and intervene appropriately. Communicate appropriately and professionally with all stakeholders Attend all required orientation classes, training sessions and meetings as assigned. Complete all required documentation including daily notes and progress notes in a professional manner consistent with the guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies. Conduct all interactions with children and families with respect Attend Child and Family Team meetings. Participate in the agency's Quality Improvement plan as assigned. Other related duties as assigned. •Must pass live scan and background check (DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse). •Must have a clean driving record.
