Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a contract position serving an elementary school caseload in Thousand Oaks, CA. This opportunity involves providing occupational therapy support for two days per week, eight hours each day, totaling 16 hours weekly. The assignment is available immediately and runs through June 12th.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary school students Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to address student needs Implement treatment plans designed to enhance students' functional abilities Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes as required Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)

Qualifications:

Valid COTA license and certification Experience working with pediatric clients in a school setting Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families Knowledge of school-based occupational therapy practices and regulations Ability to manage a caseload independently with attention to detail
