Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a dynamic educational environment for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity, located near Windsor, CA, offers a manageable schedule of 10-15 hours per week, perfect for those seeking work-life balance while making a significant impact.
Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program required Current certification as a COTA Active state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a COTA Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs Reliable, organized, and committed to fostering student growth
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist within school settings Assist in evaluating students' functional abilities and contribute to IEP development Support students with sensory, motor, and adaptive skill development to enhance participation in academic and daily activities Document progress, maintain records, and collaborate with educational staff and families Attend and contribute to team meetings and therapy planning sessions as needed Adapt activities and incorporate therapy goals into the classroom environment Provide recommendations and training to educational personnel regarding student needs
