Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. A contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support two charter schools in the Aurora area. This position offers approximately 28 hours per week, ideal for professionals seeking a part-time school setting within a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

Aurora, Colorado Key Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy assistance to students under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to develop individualized plans and interventions tailored to student needs. Conduct evaluations and implement therapeutic activities aimed at enhancing students' functional performance in school-related tasks. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in meetings regarding student development and therapy goals. Support the integration of therapeutic strategies within the classroom environment to promote student success.

Qualifications:

Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required. Experience working in school settings preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and other therapists. Knowledge of pediatric therapeutic techniques and interventions. Ability to manage time effectively and work independently within the school setting.
