Occupational Therapy Aide This position will close on Monday, April 6th.
Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapy Aide is responsible for assisting the OT or COTA with providing therapy services that are planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Occupational Therapist in accordance with the patient's treatment plan.Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registrations:
Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association is required.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience:
TBI and SCI experience preferred.Skills & Abilities:
Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build effective clinical leadership. Ability to conduct themselves in a diplomatic and tactful manner with professionals and non-professionals at all levels. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and adapt to a changing environment with competence. Possess a dedication to teamwork and commitment to excellence. Must have basic computer skills.Essential Functions:
Assist with applying the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed and instructed by the Occupational Therapist. Prepare patients and equipment for therapy and follow through with equipment processes and procedures as instructed. Communicate daily with the OT and COTAs regarding issues relating to their interaction with the patients. Maintain treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition for the purpose of implementing motor/therapy goals. Perform clerical, administrative and secretarial duties such as answering phones, restocking and ordering supplies and completing paperwork as instructed. Prepare and maintain work area, materials, and equipment, and maintain an inventory of treatment and educational supplies •This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.
