Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) - Part-Time + PRN Flexibility Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) - Atlanta, GA Looking for a role that offers flexibility, purpose, and the opportunity to grow in a unique specialty ? The Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) to support our Low Vision Clinic and Vision Rehabilitation programs for adults. This position is primarily part-time , with the option to pick up PRN hours —ideal for clinicians seeking work-life balance, supplemental income, or schedule flexibility . ✨ No low-vision experience required — we provide training that counts toward CEUs and helps you build a specialized clinical skill set. Why You'll Love This Role Flexible scheduling - part-time core hours + optional PRN shifts Opportunity to increase hours when it works for you Training provided + CEU-eligible learning opportunities Build expertise in low vision rehabilitation (a growing, niche specialty) Meaningful, one-on-one patient care with real impact on independence Supportive, collaborative team environment What You'll Do Provide rehabilitative services to individuals with low vision under OT supervision Help clients improve independence with ADLs and daily routines Teach compensatory strategies and use of adaptive equipment Implement treatment plans developed with occupational therapists Educate clients and families on techniques to improve safety and function Monitor patient performance and communicate progress to supervising OT Document services, progress, and billing accurately Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education Qualifications Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active Georgia COTA/L license & national certification Current CPR certification & malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Compassion for individuals with vision loss Commitment to HIPAA and clinical standards Preferred (Not Required) Experience in low vision, geriatrics, or rehabilitation Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 20 lbs Schedule & Work Type Part-Time with flexible scheduling PRN opportunities available (increase hours as desired) In-person (CVI Midtown, satellite clinics, and occasional community visits) Apply Today If you're looking for a role that offers flexibility, meaningful impact, and the chance to grow into a specialized area of practice , we'd love to hear from you.
Pay:
$33.27 - $38.00 per hour
