Company Overview Holy Spirit Retirement Home is a nonprofit, faith-based senior living community dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care. Located in Sioux City, we offer a comprehensive continuum of services including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing, all rooted in the Catholic tradition with a focus on dignity and spiritual enrichment. All job offers are contingent upon passing a background check. If hired, orientation and onboarding will include a multi-day process involving training, physical testing, and department tours. The schedule for this process is Tue-Thurs 9:00am-2:00pm. Please anticipate this when accepting the job offer. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care, physiology, and anatomy, with experience in hospital or post-acute settings. As a Restorative Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' recovery and maintaining their functional independence through personalized rehabilitative activities and assistance. Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as mobility, hygiene, and exercise to promote optimal recovery and independence. Implement individualized restorative care plans based on medical directives and patient needs. Support patients during intake assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor progress. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation of patient care activities. Provide education to residents on exercises and health maintenance strategies tailored to their specific conditions. Maintain a safe, clean environment that adheres to health and safety standards within inpatient, outpatient, or sub-acute care settings. Engage residents in therapeutic activities that enhance mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Qualifications Prior experience as a CNA of 5+ years required. Prior hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitative care. Demonstrated patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation processes, including orthopedics and geriatrics. Experience working with patients requiring acute or sub-acute care is preferred. Knowledge of hospital procedures related to intake assessments and documentation practices. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining professionalism and respect for patient dignity. Pay:
$18.28 - $21.46 per hour
