Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community-Based Rehabilitation Specialist to support individuals with diverse needs within their local communities. This role is vital in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and fostering inclusive environments for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and/or mental health concerns. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health, special education, and community support services, demonstrating a commitment to empowering clients through personalized care and advocacy. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing direct support and facilitating access to community resources. Responsibilities Provide individualized support to clients with developmental disabilities, autism, and other conditions, focusing on promoting independence and social integration. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each client's needs to foster positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Support clients in accessing community resources such as healthcare, education, employment, and recreational activities. Maintain detailed records of services provided and participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education techniques, and caregiving best practices. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other disabilities in home or community settings. Background in behavioral health or social work is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation duties; reliable vehicle preferred. Must have a Bachelor's degree.
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
