Works under general supervision in performing various aide duties. Full Time-Days Monday-Friday 8am-430pm
Requirements:
Knowledge & Experience Skills
  • Must have great phone etiquette as well as customer service. Knowledge
  • Must demonstrate competencies with computers (Word, Excel, Outlook a plus); fax machine; copy machine. Education
  • High school diploma Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years office experience.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to the Rehabilitation Director.
QUALITY ASSURANCE-KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transports in-patients to and from the Physical/Occupational Therapy Department on a timely basis using appropriate hospital techniques. Assists in coordinating the daily schedule of patient treatments. Follows specific instructions to assist in cleaning and preparing treatment area and equipment for use by the Physical/Occupational Therapist and
PTTA/COTA.
Follows a weekly cleaning and maintenance program. Cleans treatment area after each patient's use Responsible for answering the telephone, scheduling treatments, verification of insurance, and completion of Prior Authorization upon admittance for PT, ST and OT. Files Medicaid forms for approval of Medicaid patients. Assists physical and occupational therapists with basic patient care needs under the direct supervision of the
PT. PUBLIC RELATIONS
Maintains effective channels of communication for the PT and OT with other Therapy staff, physicians, nursing and other hospital staff. Takes appropriate action in problem situations to offset adverse effects. Projects a professional and positive attitude regarding the hospital with all staff and customers
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Seeks opportunities for self development and identifies areas of improvement. Conducts self in professional manner acting as a role model while practicing and promoting effective guest relations. Observes Hospital dress guidelines and wears ID Badge. Provides proper notification for absence and tardiness and is punctual for start of schedule time. Participates in emergency procedures, fire drills, evacuation procedures and internal/external disaster plans and procedures in accordance with departmental responsibilities. Maintains equipment assigned to department. Reports malfunctions and orders service as necessary. Orders supplies for the Physical Therapy Department. Complies with hospital policies and procedures. Completes projects and assignments on a timely basis. Participates in departmental and facility meetings as assigned
CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
Participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program under the direction of the Rehabilitation Director and/or Coordinator to meet stated goals and objectives of the Continuous Quality Improvement Program by: Brings potential problems to the Rehabilitation Director's attention. Assists in data collection. Suggests solutions to problems. Emphasizes, supports and is committed to CQI practices and processes. Takes action to assure CQI within areas of responsibility.
