1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with at least 1 year of hospital acute care experience for a Monday-Friday day shift position in Maryland. Details Acute care hospital setting with a large, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team of approximately 40 clinicians Fast-paced environment with a diverse caseload including orthopedics, neurological, behavioral health, and critical care diagnoses Day shift hours approximately 6:30/7:00am - 3:00/3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekend day per month Productivity standards of 65-75% daily, equating to approximately 21-24 billable units per day 13-week contract Requirements Degree from an ACOTE-accredited program Current and active state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland (license required if applicable) Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association Strong documentation skills in a hospital-based EMR system Strong flexibility, time management, and communication skills Additional Information Primary responsibilities include morning ADLs, 1:1 patient treatment, and facilitating occupational therapy group sessions Responsibilities include patient and family education as well as collaboration with physicians and nursing staff Experience leading occupational therapy groups is a plus DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
