Job Description

Position Summary Visionary Community Services is seeking a Full-Time Rehabilitation Specialist to manage mental health and rehabilitation services for children, adolescents, and adults. This position is responsible for the operational oversight of rehabilitation services, including documentation review, treatment planning, authorizations, and ensuring quality service delivery. The Rehabilitation Specialist will provide clinical oversight, support staff, assist clients in achieving treatment goals, and ensure compliance with agency, state, and payer requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide oversight and support for rehabilitation services and service delivery Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Complete and manage authorizations and authorization renewals Develop, review, and approve rehabilitation plans and related documentation Assist clients and families in accessing resources and achieving treatment goals Monitor client engagement and progress toward rehabilitation objectives Collaborate with therapists, Rehabilitation Coordinators, families, schools, and other providers Ensure all documentation is completed within required timeframes and meets quality standards Participate in program reviews, audits, team meetings, and supervision Identify service gaps and provide recommendations for improvement Maintain compliance with all agency, state, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Must be licensed in the State of Maryland as an LMSW or LGPC Preference given to independently licensed candidates (LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, or PsyD) Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in a behavioral health setting Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation services, treatment planning, and documentation requirements Experience completing authorizations and reviewing clinical documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic health record systems Background check required Schedule & Compensation Full-Time Position Monday through Friday Office-based position Salary based on experience Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Director and Operations & Human Resources Manager Provides support and guidance to rehabilitation staff regarding documentation, authorizations, and service delivery requirements Application Requirements Interested candidates must submit the following: Resume Cover Letter Copy of current Maryland professional license Please include in your cover letter your experience with behavioral health services, authorizations, treatment planning, documentation review, and the populations you have served (children, adolescents, adults, or both).
