What's In It for You Full-time, structured summer experience with consistent day shift hours Unique rotation between acute care and outpatient rehab settings Exposure to the full continuum of patient care and recovery Hands-on experience alongside Physical and Occupational Therapists Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across all age groups Insight into both hospital-based and clinic-based rehab environments A stronger, more competitive application for future healthcare programs Mentorship from experienced rehabilitation professionals What You'll Be Doing Support therapists in both acute and outpatient settings through non-billable patient care activities Assist with patient transport, positioning, and safe transfers Help facilitate therapeutic exercises and activities under therapist supervision Observe evaluations, treatments, and interdisciplinary collaboration across settings Assist with co-treatments and specialized therapies as needed Document exercises and interactions in the electronic medical record (as appropriate) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment Support clinic and unit operations, including stocking supplies and preparing equipment Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling support and answering phones What You'll Bring Interest in pursuing a career in rehabilitation or healthcare Curiosity and eagerness to learn across different care settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow direction and support therapist-led care plans A team-first mindset with a positive, professional attitude Reliability and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment Comfort working with patients across all age groups and conditions What to Expect This is a full-time, day shift summer internship designed to immerse you in the daily operations of a rehabilitation team. You'll split your time between acute care (hospital setting) and outpatient rehabilitation, gaining insight into how care transitions from inpatient recovery to ongoing therapy. Expect to be on your feet, actively engaged, and learning every day—both clinically and operationally. You'll be supported by a collaborative team that is invested in helping you grow and succeed.
