Seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the team at Hilltop Healthcare Rehab & Skilled! Hilltop Healthcare Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing is proud to be one of Minnesota's premier Skilled Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing facilities. We provide a variety of care options for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, stroke, cardiac events, respiratory conditions, and other medical diagnoses requiring skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans designed to improve residents' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), increase independence, and enhance overall function. Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Monitor, document, and communicate resident progress and response to treatment with the supervising Occupational Therapist. Instruct residents, families, and caregivers in therapeutic activities, adaptive techniques, home programs, and the use of assistive equipment. Educate residents and caregivers on safety awareness, fall prevention, energy conservation, and strategies to promote independence. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. Adhere to all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards. Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities.
