Job Description

Currently looking for a Skilled COTA to meet Long Term Care Home therapy needs. Individual must has good technical skills, good understanding of interdisciplinary approach, work independently, self motivated, able to take direction and oversight input. Staff member will be required to be 85% productive. Positions comes with benefits. Summary As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a long-term care setting, you will support patients in their rehabilitation journey by utilizing your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Reporting to the Occupational Therapist, your role will involve assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Your expertise in geriatrics and experience in skilled nursing facilities will enhance patient care, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a long-term care setting, ensuring their comfort and safety. Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as necessary. Provide support in both inpatient and outpatient environments, including skilled nursing facilities and clinics. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to enhance patient care and rehabilitation outcomes.
