Working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a hospital setting for 13 weeks, you'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with seasoned therapists and multidisciplinary teams. This role is a perfect fit for those aiming to strengthen their skillset, learn new treatment protocols, and adapt to a variety of therapeutic approaches. You'll expand your resume by helping veterans gain greater independence, all while being exposed to diverse clinical styles and dynamic leadership perspectives.
Schedule/Hours:
36 hours guaranteed per week 13-week assignment
Desired Qualifications:
Valid, current licensure as a COTA Experience within a hospital or skilled nursing setting preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members Compassionate approach to patient care
Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists Assist patients in improving their daily living and functional skills Document patient progress and maintain records meticulously Educate patients and families about ongoing care needs Collaborate closely with the therapy team and interdisciplinary staff
