Rehab Tech - Hosptial setting

Position Overview:

Rehab Tech in Williston, North Dakota On call/as needed hours, approximately 10 - 20 hours per week Rehab tech must have good customer service skills https://www.chistalexiushealth.org/locations/williston The rehab technician (rehab tech) assists with patient/client transportation, equipment setup, and selected procedures in accordance with federal, state, and facility-specific regulations under the direct supervision of onsite occupational therapists (OTR), certified occupational therapy assistants (COTA), physical therapists (PT), physical therapy assistants (PTA), or speech-language pathologists (SLP). The role also involves administrative support, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the clinic, and various other duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Communication and Administration:

Answer phones and take messages professionally. Greet patients, clients, family members, caregivers, and visitors warmly. Assist with the completion of paperwork, including intake forms, medical history, medications, and insurance. Perform clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing. Support front-office processes and appointment reminders.

Patient and Therapist Support:

Follow directions from supervising therapists during patient mobility, transfers, ambulation, and therapeutic interventions. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and facility rules. Maintain a service-oriented approach with all interactions. Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory monitoring.

Department Maintenance:

Perform housekeeping tasks to keep the department clean. Help reduce costs and improve productivity. Foster positive relationships with the healthcare team, patients, and caregivers. Adhere to safety, risk, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications Education and Experience:

Must be at least 16 years old and maintain regular attendance.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one settings.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Experience with data entry and accurate typing. Ability to relate positively and professionally with others. Flexibility and willingness to adapt for efficient operations. Ability to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Physical Demands Includes sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 70 pounds with or without assistance. Requires fine hand coordination, hearing, reading, writing, and stress management. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision. Work Environment Moderate noise levels.
