Rehabilitation Aide: Per Diem, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Atlantic Health is seeking a dependable and compassionate Per Diem Rehabilitation Aide to support the daily operations of our amazing team in Atlantic Health's Rehabilitation Department at Morristown Medical Center. This entry-level position plays a vital role in assisting therapists in assisting the therapists and their assistant in the therapeutic treatment of acutely ill patients and providing assistance with physical exercise, bathing, and other activities. The Rehabilitation Aide ensures and assists patients to and from their room to the therapy center. This is a great opportunity to begin or continue a healthcare career in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Assists the therapist in carrying out each patient's interdisciplinary plan of care for therapy. 2. Maintains equipment and advises the therapist of any issues that arises. 3. Prepares and manages supplies and equipment's and maintains rooms for therapy sessions. 4. Ensures and manages the phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient queries. 5. Maintains and organizes the inventory supplies, ordering stock, and cleaning the stock areas. 6. Ensures and maintains equipment and treatment room clean before and after therapy session. 7. Performs and assists day-to-day non-clinical patient care duties. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

1. Prior experience working with patients preferred, and who intend or are pursuing a career in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
