Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and learning as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a dynamic school-based environment near Capitan, NM. Collaborate closely with licensed Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful services that make a real difference in children's lives.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Minimum of one year of recent occupational therapy assistant experience, preferably in school or pediatric settings Successful completion of a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing professional development and state/district-mandated continuing education credits
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions and activities under the guidance of a licensed OT Support students' educational and developmental objectives through individualized, evidence-based practice Track and document progress, sharing updates and insights with the OT for collaborative treatment planning Engage with educators, administrators, and families to help meet students' unique needs Maintain thorough records compliant with state and district standards Participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities to keep skills sharp
