Job Description

The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist provides Medicaid-reimbursable Psychosocial Rehabilitation services to individuals enrolled in Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment (CORE) services. Services are delivered in accordance with New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations, Medicaid billing requirements, and recovery-oriented, person-centered service standards. PSR services focus on assisting participants to develop, restore, and enhance skills necessary for independent living, social functioning, community integration, and overall recovery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide OMH-approved Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services within the CORE service array. Deliver skill-building interventions that support independent living, daily functioning, and socialization. Assist participants in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and problem-solving abilities. Support engagement in meaningful activities that promote recovery, independence, and community inclusion. Provide PSR services in individual and/or group settings as authorized in the Individualized Service Plan (ISP). Deliver services in community-based settings consistent with OMH PSR guidelines. Utilize trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches. Collaborate with care managers, peer specialists, clinicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, supervision, and required trainings. Maintain timely, accurate, and Medicaid-compliant documentation reflecting PSR scope of service and participant progress. Adhere to OMH, Medicaid, and managed care service authorization and billing requirements. Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical conduct at all times. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Ability to deliver rehabilitation-focused, skill-building interventions. Ability to complete electronic documentation accurately and timely. Ability to meet

service training and competency requirements. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Experience providing Medicaid-funded PSR, CORE, or OMH services. Knowledge of NYS OMH regulations and Medicaid managed care requirements. Experience delivering services in community-based settings. Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the community, if required Speaks Bengali, Hindi, Urdu This is a per diem position with the potential to transition into a part-time role based on performance and organizational needs.
Pay:
$23.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 - 12 per week
