Job Description

Job Summary Canine Rehab of New York is dedicated to providing comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation care for pets recovering from orthopedic and neurological conditions, surgery, injury, and chronic disease. Through a combination of therapeutic exercise, pain management, and structured home programs, we focus on restoring mobility, strength, and quality of life for every patient. We are seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to join our rehabilitation team and support the delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities
  • Deliver rehabilitation treatments including therapeutic exercises, massage, underwater treadmill therapy, laser therapy, and shockwave therapy
  • Assist in managing patient comfort, safety, and handling during all treatment sessions
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients regarding patient progress, home exercise programs, and treatment goals
  • Coordinate and communicate with referring veterinarians regarding rehabilitation progress and patient status updates
  • Maintain accurate, clear, and timely medical records, including treatment notes and charges
  • Support the Rehabilitation Coordinator with administrative and clinical workflow needs as required
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the Rehabilitation Department
  • Participate in team collaboration to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned to support clinic operations Experience
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and maintain physical positioning for extended periods during patient handling and treatments
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a clinical setting
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned tasks
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and established clinical protocols
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred
  • Ability to safely handle and restrain a variety of canine patients
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prior experience in canine rehabilitation or veterinary rehabilitation strongly preferred but not required
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour
