1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with inpatient rehabilitation experience for a day shift travel contract at a rehab hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Details Inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting with a 36-bed unit Day shift, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM 14-week contract Patient population includes adults, geriatric, and neurological/CVA patients Common diagnoses include CVA, amputee, and orthopedic conditions Patient ratio of 6 patients per therapist Equipment includes standard rehab equipment, Ekso NR, and REAL VR systems EMR system is UDS ProDoc No float requirements Weekends on request; no on-call requirements Requirements Active COTA certification required AHA certifications required Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a COTA Experience working with adult patients required Orthopedic and neurological experience preferred but not required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Active licensure required if applicable Additional Information Provide occupational therapy services to patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions Facility features specialized therapy gyms with high-tech equipment including an InMotion Robotic Arm, therapy car for vehicle transfer training, and practice apartments for daily living skills Facility includes a low-stimulation secured unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, and patient lifts Black scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
