Job Description
Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity working with preschool and school-aged students in this contract role supporting early intervention services in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. This position specializes in providing occupational therapy support as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and requires flexibility across various educational environments, including both preschool and K-12 settings. Hours are structured at 35 per week, with assignments running year-round on an Early Intervention calendar, and adjustments may occur as the school year progresses.
Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania COTA license (proof required) NBCOT certification and valid NBCOT number Pennsylvania Professional Personnel ID number (PPID) Demonstrated experience delivering occupational therapy in school or early intervention settings Ability to travel between assigned locations for itinerant services Comfortable providing in-person services only Adaptability to work with both preschool and school-age childrenCore Responsibilities:
Deliver direct support to students through individualized and group occupational therapy interventions Document services and maintain case notes in compliance with state and district requirements Collaborate with lead therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that enhance student participation and success Adjust to shifting caseload needs spanning preschool through grade 12 as assigned Consult on best practices to foster students' fine motor and adaptive skills within the classroom and home environment Enjoy a professionally fulfilling role that enables you to make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners, using your expertise and compassion to support their growth.
